In 2018, Typhoon No. 21 hit Kyoto, and The Lodge MIWA was hit hard, and the original bathroom was flattened. So we decided to build it from scratch with cypress, creating a path of roasted cedar from the main building, and it took about three months to complete. This cypress bathroom was created while staying in the area, allowing you to become one with nature.
