Kyoto Omori: The Lodge MIWA Old folk house renovation

Pavilion MIWA, which was constructed in Paris, France in 2012, was commissioned to build an accommodation facility deep in the mountains of Kyoto. The house was built 70 years ago, and although it did not leak, it was not in very good condition, and it was difficult to complete the construction within the limited budget and construction period. Also, since the concept was for foreigners to experience Japan's original landscape, it was difficult to find a perfect blend of Japanese and Western styles. We have created a space to welcome our customers in a location blessed with nature.

Business: Old house renovation, renovation

Location: Omori, Kyoto

Construction: Sagara Construction

Completion: November 2017
